Type of project: Garden Refurbishment
This garden transformation reimagines a private outdoor space into a modern retreat — elegant by day and atmospheric by night. Featuring stunning mirrored panels from Charles & Ivy and Green Envee’s luxury artificial planting, the design delivers a sleek, contemporary aesthetic while maximising light, texture, and visual depth.
Refined Outdoor Environment
To create a refined, low-maintenance outdoor environment that feels both spacious and inviting, with a focal feature that transforms after dark. The design needed to complement the property’s modern architecture while introducing natural elements and reflective surfaces that enhance the garden’s sense of scale.
Lush and Realistic All Year Round
The garden’s existing layout felt enclosed, with limited light and little visual interest. The client wanted to open up the space without major structural changes — maintaining clean, contemporary lines and ensuring the garden looked equally stunning both day and night.
Balancing aesthetics with practicality was key: the planting needed to look lush and realistic year-round, while lighting and materials had to perform beautifully in all conditions. Check out more garden refurbishments here.
Full Potential of Biophilic Design
Green Envee collaborated closely with Charles & Ivy to integrate mirrored panels that instantly expanded the visual dimensions of the garden. These reflective surfaces capture surrounding greenery and sky, creating an illusion of depth and movement throughout the day.
Complementing the mirrors, luxury artificial green walls was used to bring texture and natural vibrancy — without the ongoing maintenance of live plants. Carefully positioned ambient lighting completed the transformation, introducing a dramatic, cinematic quality that takes over as the sun sets.
The result is a garden that transitions seamlessly from bright and uplifting to moody and enchanting, celebrating the full potential of biophilic design in an outdoor setting.
